Steve Kornacki Reacts to ‘Chartthrob’ Thirst Tweets on Kelly Clarkson

Last week, after he’d recovered from a week of nearly no sleep during the election, gay MSNBC political correspondent Steve Kornacki appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in his signature khakis where he reacted to thirsty tweets about him and broke down the vote for the best Thanksgiving dessert by state.
With Kornacki standing by his famous board holding notes, Clarkson said, “You earned the nickname the chartthrob. How does it feel to have all of these thirsty tweets about you?”
“It’s not something I was expecting. I’ll put it that way,” Kornacki replied.
“We were just so busy looking at the election results Tuesday night, Wednesday night, election week, and my friends and family start sending me these texts. They had to translate some of them for me. I didn’t quite understand what was happening,” he said. “But it was quite an experience.”
Clarkson then read a few of the milder thirst tweets about him. Finally, she asked him where he goes when he’s not breaking down the Electoral College results of an election. That’s when he playfully began to track the most popular Thanksgiving desserts by state.
“Sweet potato pie with 74 percent of the vote is going to take Florida. Pumpkin pie wins Pennsylvania with 99 percent of the vote,” Kornacki joked. “Brownies in some of those prairie and plain states doing well. We may have an election, Kelly, where no dessert gets 270 electoral votes.”
