Talk about feeding the beast

equalpride, the parent company of The Advocate and sibling publication Out, celebrated Out’s May/June issue drop Thursday night along with announcing the musical lineup of Procter & Gamble (P&G) and iHeartMedia’s annual fundraiser event “Can’t Cancel Pride.” P&G and Belvedere Vodka sponsored the event.

“Can’t Cancel Pride” began during the pandemic after so many Pride parades and events had to be canceled over health concerns. The events have raised more than $15 million for six LGBTQ+ charitable organizations that include GLAAD, The Trevor Project, National Black Justice Coalition, SAGE, Centerlink, and OutRight International. As the event celebrates its fourth year, it will focus on the achievements of the past, the urgency of the present moment, and the hope for the future of the LGBTQ+ community.

iHeartMedia radio stations will air spots encouraging listeners to tune into the livestream on June 15 and watch the event on demand. The Can’t Cancel Pride special will also stream on equalpride’s Advocate Channel.

Featured artists include Brandi Carlile, Big Freedia, Billy Porter, Adam Lambert, JoJo Siwa, and more.

Fans can follow along on social media using the hashtag #CantCancelPride and support the participating nonprofits by visiting cantcancelpride.com or texting “RAINBOW” to 513-654-2622.
