Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, located about 90 miles from Luxembourg in neighboring Germany, is a major medical hub for the U.S. armed forces. It is renowned for providing world-class care to American service members, particularly those injured in combat.
In a statement, Pelosi, 84, expressed her gratitude to the U.S. military staff at Landstuhl and the medical professionals at Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg for their “excellent care and kindness.”
“Speaker Emerita Pelosi is well on the mend,” Krager said, adding that she is appreciative of the outpouring of prayers and well wishes.
Pelosi’s injury prevented her from attending the remainder of the congressional delegation’s events honoring World War II service members.
“Speaker Pelosi is enjoying the overwhelming outpouring of prayers and well wishes and is ever determined to ensure access to quality health care for all Americans,” Krager said.
Pelosi is expected to return to the United States soon, though no specific timeline has been provided.
