Lea DeLaria and Jenna Lyons Save the Lesbian Bars

This week, comedian and lesbian icon Lea DeLaria (Orange Is the New Black) premiered her executive-produced documentary, The Lesbian Bar Project, at the Harbor New York City Rooftop, presented by Jägermeister’s #SAVETHENIGHT Initiative. Also helping to promote the film was iconic fashion designer (and former J. Crew boss lady) Jenna Lyons.

In attendance at the screening were co-directors Erica Rose and Elina Street as well as various bar owners and community activists. The Lesbian Bar Project premiered worldwide Thursday on Jägermeister’s Global YouTube and tells the stories of the few remaining lesbian bars in the U.S. The Lesbian Bar Project‘s donation fund is now open at LesbianBarProject.com/donate.
