Largest Gay Circuit Party of the Year Canceled by COVID
The nation’s largest gay circuit party, White Party Palm Springs in southern California, has been officially postponed until April 2021.
After canceling the April 2020 event, White Party was originally rescheduled for October, but founder Jeffrey Sanker said the continuing threat of COVID-19 made it impossible for it to happen this year.
“With the unpredictable changes in health guidelines surrounding COVID-19 which we respect and are taking seriously, my biggest concern is the safety of our attendees and the people of Palm Springs,” Sanker said on the festival’s website.
Ticket-holders for the now-canceled October White Party will have their tickets automatically transferred to the 2021 event, to be held April 23-26.
White Party Palm Springs attracts around 30,000 revelers for concerts, dances, and mixers. The 30-year-old event also serves as a fundraiser for various LGBTQ+ charities and is a major economic driver for the desert city.
