27 Photos of the Queerest Tattoo Art from Around the World

Author: Advocate.com Editors

Queer Tattoo offers readers a glimpse into the world of queer tattoo art. Created against what the authors and editors describe as the “hierarchies and patriarchal structures of traditional tattoo art,” queer tattooing looks to subvert that traditional tattoo scene.

“It aims to create safe, tolerant, and inclusive spaces where queer, nonbinary, and trans people can experiment away from the mainstream and develop their own individual styles and techniques,” the book’s news release states.

The collection, authored by Andrew Burford and Stewart O’Callaghan and edited by Florian Rudolph, Benjamin Wolbergs, and Brody Polinsky, features 50 international tattoo artists.

Below are 26 images featured in the Queer Tattoo.
